This was a movie that i watched after watching Puss in boots the last wish for the third time, and Nimona. In my opinion, this is the lowest ranked movie out of those three. while i did think that the animation was stellar, that is mainly due to my love for stop motion and adoration for the medium. I thought there were a fair few funny scenes in the movie, particularly when Pinocchio preforms for Mussolini. That was a fairly enjoyable scene, aswell as the interactions he had when he "died." but other than that, i wast a huge fan of the movie. I liked the idea of a Pinocchio in this darker setting, but i think that it was a little downplayed by his uppity and comedic nature. I think that if the movie was more focused on the serious and darker aspects i would have rated it higher, but personally I really cannot give it more than a 7.5 out of ten. It was not a bad movie, but it didn't really wow me either.

This has easily become on of my all time favorite movies after seeing it. The animation of Paddington himself makes me marvel at how smooth and lifelike animation has become. The story aswell, it is absolutely heartwarming in every way. It is such a clever family comedy and I definitely need to watch the second one. It is such a heartwarming movie that I definitely think that everyone should watch in their lifetime. 9/10
I personally really enjoyed watching this movie. It has been years since I've watched anything TMNT related, and this was definitely a good way to get back into the universe. The art style of the movie was definitely up there with some recent movies(aka. spider verse) but I think that it had enough of its own style and flair to pass as its own unique animation style. I thought a majority of the movie was pretty funny, especially the flashback scene to when they were kids. The way that they were animated had me dying of laughter in the theater. The plot was pretty OK. I was disappointed when shredder was relegated to a sequel movie, despite being one of the main antagonists of the series. That doesn't mean that i hated the villain of this movie though. Superfly and his gang were an incredibly animated and voiced cast. I mean there was John Cena, Seth Rogan, Ice Cube, Post Malone, and Giancarlo Exposito. overall though, I would give the movie a 7.7/10.
This is an overall pretty decent movie. I watched it after I hung out with a close friends and we watched the newest puss in boots. It was around midnight when I watched this movie, and personally it couldn't have been a better time to watch. It was a pretty heartwarming movie, even thought it was the final movie from Blue Sky Studios. The animation was so unique and fluid, that it just made me feel happy while I was watching it. The story was a little forgettable after watching the movie, but during it it kept me wholly captivated. Even though this was an overall great movie, It makes me so sad that one of my childhood favorite studios is shutting down. They made some of the best movies in the early 2000's, like Rio, Robots, Epic, and Ice Age.
Despite this, this movie was definately a 9/10 watch, i only wish that there would be more of the movie or a sequel. |
